Need CVT driving tips
Last weekend I shifted the gear from P too soon.

Pagkapindot ko sa Start button, nagredondo na yung starter. Habang nagreredondo, nailipat ko agad yung gear from P to R to N. I noticed na biglang huminto ang redondo tapos pagdating sa N nagredondo ulit hanggang sa tuluyang mag-start.

Siguro huminto yung starter nung pumasok sa R tapos nag-resume pagdating sa N. As far as I can tell, wala namang nangyaring masama sa startup at sa tranny.

Just sharing para mag-ingat ang ibang cvt users. Posibleng ma-shift ang gear kahit hindi pa fully running ang engine.

Napapansin ko lang na parang mas malakas ang tunog ng makina o somewhere pag naka Neutral compared to the lever on Park mode.

Normal ba yun?

Yup. Kakamadali kong umusad para mag-give way sa kotseng papasok sa garahe nya. Hindi naman ako direktang sagabal sa dadaanan nya but still nahiya naman ako at dayo lang ako sa kalye nila.

Ask ko lng po, pag set ko sa B at pababa, bakit parang sobrang bagal ng pag baba, kailangan ko pang apakan yug gas, kaya di ko gamit yung B pa baba. Yun mabilis maupud yung brake pad. Ang way ko eh, hilly part ng San Mateo. Me mali ba akong habit? brake-pad vs B ng engine braking?

Mas mababang equivalent gear and mag engine brake kasi kaya bumabagal pag nasa B. Mas maigi pa rin B with engine braking instead na laging naka rely sa brakes pag downhill, mas prone sa brake fade pag laging babad sa brake during downhill.

How to prevent CVT jerking at low speed? Kailangan ba sobrang dahan dahan ng tapak?

Anong situation? Accelerating from a full stop? Coming out from a turn?

Pag waiting ako in traffic, naka-apak lang ako sa preno para andar agad. In case nag-neutral ako, tingin ako mga 2 to 3 cars ahead para pag gumalaw na sila, shift na ako to D at apak preno para abante agad once umandar na yung nasa unahan ko. Anticipate mo lang ang paggalaw ng traffic.

Kung paliko naman, alalay lang ako sa gas habang lumiliko.

How fast has anyone here gone in reverse? May nabasa lang kasi ako sa reddit na some CVTs can possibly go at full speed in reverse.

Yes Sir Wally, coming from a full stop ang hirap pag napadiin ng konti yung gas pedal mag jejerk. Pag naman dahan dahan medyo mabagal talaga mag accelerate, i guess ganun talaga ang CVT base sa mga nababasa ko online. Kala nila may problem pero i think ganun din talaga .Correct me if i'm wrong.

Diba kapag nag press ka sa gas pedal ng medyo madiin coming from a full stop mataas yung RPM pero pag release then press again nag mamaintain na sya sa 2k.
