How will you know if need na palitan ang coolant w/o referring to the vague suggested schedules?

Has anybody used test strips and/or refractometers for this purpose?

My recent test w/ a refractometer indicates the present concentration of my coolant is at 30%

Maybe if the initial concentration was at 50%, the coolant has now degraded after 5 years.. but I am not discounting the possibility that 30% was the one actually filled.

You're still using the OEM super long life sir?

Going 50k km na ko in 2.5years, sabi hindi ko pa need palitan coolant. Pero as preventive maintenance, I might DIY soon using either prestone or OEM.

ako nag dagdag kahapon, nakita ko yung Reservoir nya nasa Low level na. Prestone 500ML ready to use. kulay neon green.. sakto lang sya hanggang High level. recommended sya ng taga Shell at sa mga nababasa ko din dito sa forum..

prestone 500 ML: 199
yung 1L - 359

sa blade.. :-)
